WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU FIND
INJURED WILDLIFE OR ABANDONED OR ORPHANED YOUNG IN DAMPER CREEK BUSHLAND
When finding injured or orphaned wildlife, if
safe, wrap them in a towel and place them in a ventilated box and keep
them warm and quiet. Transport them to a local vet or make contact with
our local wildlife carer. DO NOT FEED THEM. Our local wildlife carer
is Jan, who runs the Outlook Rd Wildlife Shelter. Jan can be contacted
on 0412 097 803.
Alternatively, contact Wildlife Victoria on
1300-095-535. There is also the South Oakleigh Wildlife Shelter, 23
Murumba Drive, South Oakleigh (www.sows.org.au), telephone: 0411-600-591
